I've been using this extensively on a massive 5.1 remix project.
All stereo files & original parts are in PTHD7.x, and in general ProConvert doea a pretty good job.
I have found a couple of gotchas though.
The biggest bugbear I have is when the source project has files that apparently exceed full scale, ProConvert "normalizes" the audio files down by the amount that 0dBFS is exceeded by. This is nasty, and has to be watched out for.
I've also had a couple of files that simply did not translate properly and imported as empty events into Nuendo.
The best solution is still bouncing every single track, but in these projects (well over 150+ tracks in every song) that would take an excessive amount of time and would also mean that the separate clips are not imported.

However, when all is considered, I think that PC does a pretty good job. The Audio tool is also massively useful for converting SDII files to B-WAV as well.
