| A patchbay shouldn't add any noise.....but, often the signal lines in a patchbay are exposed (the shield is stripped to allow connecting of the leads) so the signal is susceptible to outside interference from nearby sources. The patch cables themselves could also be the culprit. I'd look at what is near to the patchbay and see if it should be moved (either the bay or the external gear). Just a thought. |
