I'm sure Tasha would love the raw meat idea, and she'd prefer it frozen no doubt. But she's on a low fat dry food diet because of her "senior" status, -. As far as snow, cold temps and comfort, she's happiest when it's well below freezing... probably around 0 F (-17 C) is the ideal temp zone. She loves to curl up and sleep in the snow. The paws are adapted for snow travel, with webs between toes, scaly surface to the pads like cross country skis, and the fur on the bottoms of the feet - which we trim because it gets long but it's like nylon cord - hard to cut. If she's running and it's above freezing she'll be panting pretty hard. But she handles hot temps surprisingly well, just needs a lot of water. Is there a pic of your cat, Main Coon, earlier in the thread? I'll have to search back.
