Ideal cloud/panel positioning for vaulted ceiling

Hello, attached are a few pics showing the "pitch" of my ceiling which is at a 35 degree angle approx. I'm looking to install a cloud/panels over my listening position. The studio is 13.5 x 10.5 and has a good deal of strategically placed front/side/corner traps and a combo of diffusion/absorption on the back wall. I primarily use it for writing/tracking and it has a nice sound to the room however, I'd like to get it closer to an ideal mixing situation and would like some suggestions on the following:
  • Pic #2 & 5 is looking up slightly behind the mix position
  • Pic #3 & 4 are the right and left walls (respectively) of the room showing the angle

- 24x48 panels. Should I go with 2" or 4" thick panels for the cloud?

- Is a cloud/ceiling absorption considered an "early reflection" point?

- If I go with 24x48x4 cloud panels hanging level and suspended by hooks/chain, What's the ideal amount of area that the cloud should cover above the listening position?

- If suspended in a level position how low should they hang?
(the height directly above the listening position is 11.5 feet)

- Would mounting say 24x48x2 panels against the ceiling starting above the listening position and moving further back to the peak where the back wall meets the ceiling give me the same or better effect than just a cloud?

- Perhaps maybe a combo of both? suspended 4" thick cloud AND 2" thick panels "up" the ceiling?

My vaulted ceiling presents so many questions and only a few threads here on GS that really targeted my particular situation so I appreciate any advice/feedback.

Thanks in advance!
