| I usually leave channel 17 on my board for vocals and have its direct output going to a mult and then to inputs 17, 18, and 19 on my multi-track. This helps cut down on patching because I normally double or triple track vocals during a session and all I have to do is record enable the track I want to record on and the vocal shows up. This also helps keep the session going because I can keep the vocalist going without having to stop to repatch.
