The quote is from a sale was by a private party who happened to have several different vintages available with different finishes. I have seen at least 3 (and possibly 4) finishes on them over the years including the olive one.
As to the box saying it is "fawn beige" no big deal, unless you were expecting to match it up with another fawn one, then I'd take it back and see if they can find you one with that finish. |

It looks more plastic to me but that might be the paint that makes it look that way...
