I got some cubicle partitions that had an OC705 equivalent in them (I calculated the density), but they measured at 1.5 inches. After looking at lumber, and thinking about the measured vs. cut dimensions, I began to wonder if it is the same for the insulation.

For example, a 2 x 4 board is cut down to a 1.5 x 3.5 board. It is impossible to find a board that is cut down to 2", which led me to think that a 2" slab of rigid insulation actually measures 1.5".

Can anyone tell me if this is true or not?
