I just this week, built my first DIY project...a JLM BA2 Kit with the DI's.
I used a JLM 1/4 input tranny, and the 99V opamp....
The build went smooth...Joe Malone was fantastic with any questions I had...make sure to check out the forum at the company website...
The sound of the pre is stellar...I couldnt be happier.
