I keep my DAW isolated. Why take the chance? It would probably be ok, but I sure as hell don't want to risk it. I've got plenty of computers that cruise the net. I really don't mind setting my laptop right next to my DAW to transfer challenge questions or update plugs.
Rather be safe than sorry when dealing with my workstation.
