If it were me....... I'd like a Machinedrum and a Jomox Mbase11 thumbsup
Jomox nailed the ultimate kick like no one else (I reckon they even bettered Roland at their own game). But the Machinedrum got all that other funky glitchy stuff down so good! They should make for a great pair.. But perhaps rather out of budget unless you go secondhand.
I compromise a little for now with an old Jomox Xbase 09 (Again, great bass drum) and a multitude of other drum/percussion sounds I get from Reason. Reason is great, but has crap (IE, no) low end, hence the Jomox.
Actually.. While im here! I recently got a Tenori-on. You don't hear them being talked about much for drums, but it works out far better than I expected in that department.
Its worth the asking price for the 512 pretty flashing lights alone
