Anyone else getting pissed that you can't have a recording computer that doesn't connect to the internet. These software companies are making us rely WAYY to heavily on the internet to "activate" their products. My computer does not touch the internet for the same reason that a lot of you don't have yours connected. I've had to download numerous cracks for my legit software merely because I do not like to have my computer on the net. Now, I could connect for a few seconds to activate. The problem is, My copy of windows does not come with network capable software. It does not have .NET, TCP/IP, CLIENT, WORKSTATION, or NETWORKING. Hell it doesn't even come with defrag. It is a bare bones system with the windows base. That is it. The reason I have this is because if you look at your resource usage you will probably see around 200MB ram and somewhere around 5% on the processor, mine is at 62.4MB of ram and 0% idle. My windows does nothing but record and edit audio. So, software companies had better straighten up or I'm going to go to hardware. Meaning tape recorders. Not kidding!
