| Multi-purpose mix room ? I'm planning on building a Dolby qualified 20x15 film dub room. And while I know that the 2/3 mix position in the room serves a significant purpose it seems like wasted space. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this but since I'll be doing most foley/sound design recording myself it seems that the room could be designed so that acoustically the front 2/3 of the room could also serve as a foley stage. Obvious considerations would be any noise floor from HVAC and computer fans but these are issues I'd want to address anyway to keep the noise down in the room for mixing.
Anyone working in this capacity?
