I use an obnoxious JVC bookshelf system for my "car" simulator.. it has 2 extra sub speakers & is one of my favorite references. well, that and an auratone in mono. the speaker in a Studer machine is pretty cool too... and a shitty Sony ghetto with "mega" bass. hmmm...

I have a JBL "creature" on my macmini and it's OK.. but it's really a lot better for watching dvds than it is for music.. too many holes in the mids.

didn't advent or paradigm make some laptop speakers awhile back that ppl were loving??? I seem to remember...
