Your vocal chain looks fine to me, but has others have said, if you can post a before/after sample it would be very helpful to hear if you got the right settings or not.

Have you tried Vcomp as well? This is what a friend of mine use extensively on his mixes and it makes the voice stand out from the background in a big way (if used properly of course!)
