i record rap/hiphop on cool edit pro and i record my vocals with 4 tracks

-track 1: lead verese
-track 2: overdub whole verese @ -6db
-track 3: overdub multies & punchlines @ -9 db
-track 4: adlibs @ -3 to -12 db

plugin go like so

1st waves r-de-ess (male de-ess wide)
2nd waves r-eq 2 (hipass @ 80-160hz & hishelf @16k with 4db boost to add air
3rd waves r-vox (gate @ -42 comp @ -24 Gain @ -9)

then with the eq on the tracks of cool edit pro it goes as is

3 db cut @ 250-320hz
2 db boost @ 2k
4 db boost @ 4k

now i was wondering what your guys thoughts would be on this and
what you would reccomond and im also wondering some standards for recording rap
You'd probably have to post up before and after examples of the source material before anyone can really give a useful opinion on what you are asking.
