| Recording engines in Top Gear TV show
Hey all, I'm not a huge fan of the UK TV show Top Gear, but I do watch it every so often when a few of my mates get together over a few beers. They all love the show, and one of the things that struck me about the show were the production values, great camerawork and the sound on the cars in particular is great. On the surround system the roar of some of these cars really is amazing. What I was wondering was, how do they mic up these engines and what mics do they use on the show. I've searched for articles on the web and gone on Top Gear fan sites to see if anyone knew. No luck so I thought I'd ask here and see if I could get some answers. If anyone knows anyone who works on the show would be great to get their input. Thanks.
