Thanks for that suggestion, but is it really a step up in sound quality from what I have already? Honestly, it doesn't look like it.

I'm guessing from the lack of response that there isn't much else in the way of 2-channel interfaces. OK, so let's try a different approach...if I want to step up the sound quality from the Audiophile 2496, I might be willing to go 4-channel if the quality is a step up. From what I hear the weakness of the M-Audio 2 channel cards is their AD/DA conversion. So let's say I want to step up to a higher level of conversion that's got a noticeable effect on tone but won't cause me to spend a grand or more. What should I be looking at?
