It's all so subjective.I liked them although they're different to 1073's,API's,etc.
different texture tonally.smooth. even extended lows,natural open hi's
the eq is generally broader,less aggressive and has a sweet smooth character to it.good for a lot of things
really nice for warm natural sounds .i used them quite a bit on drum room mics,overheads,strings.
It's probably safe to assume the changes Mike has made are for better functionality
and sonics.
