Well there are two forms of pulse outs commonly found in Analogue sequencers. The first is for overall clock speed to clock other devices at that the same speed. End pulse out is a single pulse that signifies then end of a set of stages. This is very useful when using a sequencer with multiple rows say 3 x 8 so by hooking the outputs of all three rows to a switch device and hooking the end pulse output to the trigger input of the switch it will drop the output from row A after 8 stages to Row B then to C - giving you 24 stages where you only have 8 before.

There are many other uses of the end pulse out but this gives you an Idea.
