| We have PMC's and I find that music volume decreases on tv and small speakers. Limited bandwidth = less bass and top end .... something that music usually has more of than dialogue.
Beware music with lots of mid-range (distorted guitars etc) and songs with lots of room in the middle of the stereo image... room you'll loose in mono and when listening from the back of the room.
I can flick to a small tv and / or mono with one button whenever I'm unsure. But at the end of the day you have to make an educated guess with your judgement and experience
