So what is better in terms of real use?

The MIX and Transport together OR just the Control - in real world use?

There is a $100 difference between these two setups.
Ironically enough I just finished mastering a couple of albums using the MC mix and MC transport in DP7.

-- when you say 'real world', what is it that you mean specifically? All three units are different enough to justify the purchase of all them.

The reason I went with the mix and the transport and not the control is because my needs were specifically to volume balance tracks during mastering, have access to plug-in editing parameters during processing, and a big ass jog wheel to scrub and move me through my project. However..

I'm finding that even though I can create macros with the MC transport via its soft keys -- I would love to purchase the MC control in the near future because of the touch screen that gives you a lot more access to macros and one-button commands. Since I am an RSI sufferer anything I can do to minimize keystrokes and mousing around justifies the price.

Hope this helped,

Michael
