I noticed you said versatility....I'm no guru but i really like my UA 710 twin-finity....from 100% solid state to 100% tube or any combination of both. From crisp and crunch to creamy and smooth,subtle but quality. Both sides have an almost vintage feel to them....especially with my tlm49
