I currently have a little bit of money to spend on upgrading my vocal chain. I mainly record hip hop / RnB vocalists in a well treated space. I am looking for pieces that will compliment what I already have and hopefully add a little more versatility to my studio. Below are the chains I am currently considering…

A) Aurora Audio GTQC ($3800) + Beesneez James ($1500) = $5300
B) Great River ME1NV ($1450) + Distressor ($2400) + Beesneez James ($1500) = $5350

I currently own an Avalon 737, AT4050, AKG 4000B, Shure Sm7b.

Which option out of the two do you think will improve on what I already have the most??

Cheers guys.
what about 500 series?

But since your an Aussie, Check out JLM audio. Joe's based in Brisbane and sells top quality gear.

Joe's got a 1176 comming out in 500 series along with a whole heap of other gear.
