Thanks for the feedback. I have deliberately avoided adding any content either pro or against any piece of gear so it becomes a purely democratic system where each rating from each individual is the only thing which counts. So to be fair I have just posted the blurb from the maker for each piece of gear.
The stars were the only system I could find which would generate a weighted average out of 5. If you have any suggestions of how it could be done better I am genuinely interested in hearing - which is why I posted here in the first place.
Thanks to those who already added reviews and ratings! Once we get 50+ reviews for a piece of gear it should start to give a statistically meaningful result.
