Uad-1, Powercores and IRQ's(virtual)

Hello. I heard I should have my audio interface and dsp cards all on their own IRQ's... When I checked in device manager I had my audio interface sharing one UAD-1 and the ultra ATA storage controller , and the other UAD-1 sharing with the agp video card ! (IRQ 16) the two powercores were on IRQ 21 and 22. After taking out my cards and making a change to the pci irq assignments in the Bios, things look much better, with only the usb controller sharing with the powercores (which are on IRQ 20 now) . I heard that since my computer uses ACPI for making IRQ assignments, that IRQ's over number 15 are virtual IRQ's, and that it would be better to have my audio card and dsp cards on lower number IRQ's. Any truth to this, and any way of doing it ? It seems Windows xp just does what it wants when assigning IRQ's.... it sure would be nice to be able to control all this within windows.... anybody have any answers ? thanks !
