Matching by ear was my suggestion so that the two processed files actually sound something alike, and because what we're all wondering is "Can the OPT1A sound like the TSL3?"
If they take a different approach to compressing the files it will make it harder to answer that question.
If you have a better idea I'm all for it. That's just what's on the table for now.
