The question we are all asking is "Can the OPT1A sound like the TSL3?" My thought is, Wolfgang should go first, crush the files to taste with his original Vac Racs and then send the crushed files to Starski. Starski can then simply try to match the sound of the VR's as closely as possible with the OPT1A and then post the files so we can all see how close it got. That way it's all about ears and not about whether the two compressors sound the same at certain settings or not. ... |
Agreed. Most importantly, how does the OPT1A sound when set to stun? (both knobs maxed out) That's the magic setting on the Vac Rac, and what I'm hoping for from the OPT1A.
