Haven't been on here for a while but that's largely because my N12 works faultlessly and reliably under OSX Leopard. I did have a power suply failure but Yamaha UK replaced it FOC.
There, a positive reply. Of course there are more problems posted than there are positives; it's in the nature of an online forum that you use it when things aren't working.
One of the issues seems to be folks getting all excited about the latest OS and upgrading too soon (obviously, if you're starting from scratch, you often don't get to choose though). It has always been the case that things take a long time to settle down after new OS is released (just look at how many patches the OS will dowload and install in the first few months) so 'sensible' users tend to wait till the dust settles before moving forwards.
Remember kids; if it aint broke, don't fix it.
I use my studio semi-professionally and the N12/Mac/Cubase 5 combo is the core of my setup. If it wasn't stable and didn't give great results I'd be looking to change it.
I probably will upgrade to Snow Leopard but only when I can use it reliably. Until then I'm quite happy being able to spend hours in the studio with hardly a glitch.
Good luck to those of you waiting on the new drivers, I've had similar problems in the past and know how frustrating it can be.
