VOILA... Sums up the question entirely.

Mr. Chris Whatever confirmed the sole purpose of Steinberg on the ''official'' forums is to police the users - NOT to make the end users experience of Steinberg products any more enjoyable. one more fail to add to the list.

Colin Miller: considering you made very clear you're not all that receptive, the above comment by Shanabit perfectly sums up the feeling of MANY more people than you think. Their attitude is stupid. if stating that on an independent forum such as GS means one has psychological issues, like you claim m127 does, then you my friend are completely missing the point... did you actually read the thread he posted? did you look at the dates?

as for the dongle thing, when the product is cracked it makes sense to enter the number into the forum BUT MAKE IT A REQUIRED FIELD. and this with the simple purpose of avoiding miscommunication with your sole reason for existing: YOUR CLIENTS.

thats all anybody was saying... its completely relevant to the whole dongle story, considering that Steinberg could use all their resources to provide proper customer service - which obviously has never really been a priority. copy protection on the other hand, always clearly has.
