I want to make a portable system of what I have in the studio.

I am using a quad core mac. With the kore as my interface. Ni komplete, Omnisphere, Stylus Rmx, VSL, Logic.

I will be scoring a commercial in Portugal.

I use a Macbook Pro with Protools for my portable Rig. I either bring the
Mbox2 mini or the Mbox2Pro depending on what I'm doing. If I need many
inputs, I'll bring my 003 with an external ADAT enabled interface.

For your needs, I don't think you'll need an external converter if you're
not recording anything from live sources.

The Macbook Pro has been very reliable, but I do recommend using an external
FW drive. Particularly if you have using samples.
