What I can tell you about them is that they're straight off his MPC2000xl. All the 'Drops' are just laid out on the pads and played as a bass. No additional kicks on top of those. They're pretty choppy and intentionally distorted (using the filters in the MPC). These are really just run of the mill 808 samples at the end of the day. |

here's a video of him doing his thing: 2000xl, korg m3, motif rack, fantom rack. JT talks about a "processor" for the mpc in the video which could be anything all it means is that he's running them through something. it could be just a preamp haha
