If you can afford it always go for real Neve IMHO.
I have never tried the Portico range.

BTW I will have a 4 Ch Vintage Neve Mic Pre for sale real soon.
Using 4 x Vintage Neve 183 cards with Carnhill trannies.
2ru case, vu's, stepped gain and trim.
Hoping to keep it priced low - around AU$4000.
Which for 4 Ch's of 'real' vintage Neve will be very cool.
