I really like the feature set, 20 inputs should satisfy most people, plus I like the option to have two kind of transformer flavours on board. I also like the idea that this will have mic pres, some may not need them, for others, like me, this will be a welcome addition. So about the new mic pre, will they be anything like the ME-NV?
Final and obvious question: can you post any pics?
Well, again, to be clear, the MixMaster is not simply a "summing" unit, but a completely fresh idea from the ground up, basing the design on the workflow inside a recording environment with a computer. It address's not only "summing" of many inputs, but the ENTIRE SIGNAL PATH OF YOUR STUDIO <> HEAD-TO-TOE. This makes it much more palpable in a recording situation than any Summing box I've tried. It DON'T compare. In a mixing situation, its starts to resemble a mini 3RU console with a thoughtfully laid out master section, [AND, OH YEA <> THERE'S A SOUND COMING FROM THE MASTER BUSS]. The Mic amps are freshly designed with transformer I/O that are NOT redundant with the MENV series. They use DIFFERENT transformers and DIFFERENT amplifier topology and thus sound different. Another important note: we hope to have the panning options found in the Channel Select Matrix [5-20] in the next unit, to offer 5 settings: LEFT, 10 o'clock, CENTER, 2 o'clock and RIGHT.

peace in the middle east

EDIT: I'll try and post some pictures if I can......
