I actually haven't seen a rattler up here, ever, been here 10 years.
I think because we are at 7000 feet and it gets cold at night the rattlers don't come up from the galisteo basin, where its lower altitude and higher temp they enjoy.

we don't have scorpions either. we do have black widows and brown recluses though, the biggest foe around here are the mice, then the coyotes.

its raining today, don't know if we will get to core fill the walls in the rain or not.
