| I have a pair of opals and they come with these rubber mounts that are not very user friendly for them to sit on. By this I mean you have no real ability to angle them up or down depending on your mix position.
Whatever stands you buy make sure you get a pair of aurelex mo pads or similar as they help the Opal sit a lot more stable.
Re stands I personally had a pair of genelec stands for my 8040's that I had modified with 2 heavy duty plastic plates. These plates screwed onto the stands and my opals now sit snugly on them. I dont recommend going down that path if you can get a ready made stand with a decent top plate that fits the Opal.
Recommend you checking the Opal dimensions to make sure they fit though before you buy the stands.
I had to make my speaker stand plates 28 cm x 29 cm for the Opals to have room to sit on. They are massive speakers.
