We had a similar problem with our Urei 809s. I just bought a couple of these:
On-Stage Stands EB9760B | Sweetwater.com and mounted them on tripod stands. It worked great, but the screws that come with the brackets are pretty weak so I went up to the hardware store and for a $1.87 investment bought some heavy wood screws. Problem solved.
