Cut and Solder a midas Board???

hi- in looking at the block diagram to my Midas Venice 240 it seems to suggest that i can change the direct outs to be post effects, which is what i want. has anyone had any experience with that?

i want to get my sounds on the board and then put 'em directly out into the DAW, not route them through the group outs- that adds noise and doesnt sound the same.....

maybe i should think about getting a different board that will do that? i know these boards are made for live sound even though they are good sounding for recording, but for mixing- i'm feeling like there could be something better out there- in the same price range-

thoughts???

thanks,
kurt
