I agree. Something it took me a long time to figure out was why the test bits I'd do sounded empty. It has as many parts as other tunes of yore, and as much ambience. But sometimes it's that slight floor of hiss and noise that keep the empty parts from truely sounding empty (and therefore wierd) that can happen so easily in the digital world. Sometimes you have to replace that stuff with some really subtle synth sound or more ambience or some such thing, to avoid just a complete black hole appearing in the really quiet moments (though really quiet moments probably aren't something too many worry about today because there probably seldom are any.)
