A thought struck me though - if there was a way to sync Cubase and the VS2480 properly (MIDI timecode perhaps?), then would it be better to track onto the VS2480 then bounce the tracks over to Cubase for editing? I say this because I imagine the preamps and A/D converters on the VS2580 are better quality then the old Spirit SX PA desk I'm using for preamps at the moment and the Delta 1010lt A/D converter. Does anyone think this would be a wise idea or am I just going crazy?

You should use the VS WAVE EXPORT APP. Works great
If you still want to sync them just look under my name and sync

For syncing with Cubase I usually had Cubase send MTC to the VS and have the VS slaving. Works great
