Somewhere on my list would be a Crane Song Spider. For what you get, its one of the best bargains going in pro audio today.
Soundelux and Brauner would be on there as well to cover a good spectrum from accurate to colored.
A DAC-1 would be in there, too.
That and then for monitors I would spend as much money possible while having enough cash to get a functional recording medium. Start off being able to trust what you hear. We focus so much on the front end fun stuff like preamps, compressors, mics.....but the monitoring environment is what brings home the bacon.
