Here is a convo I had with Ulf Kaiser of Melodyne earlier this month.
Hi
When can I expect the DNA technology to hit the market?
Thank you.

Sounds good as I been waiting for this technology since I found out about it several months ago. My main purpose for the software will be to import simple and complex audio to analyze, re-arrange and convert to midi. Then I would like to import the midi into my sequencer; Live. If this works as expected then I see that feature As extremely powerful and innovative.
I'm sure once I start using it I will realize additional functionality applicable to my needs as well.
Thanks for the timely response. Have a nice day.
Hi Vincent,
we won't be able to "dechiffre" complex mixes, just polyphonic instruments.
Hope that is already fine? But we'll have MIDI Export in it.
Greetings, Ulf
