Well, what can I say? The system was pretty solid and 'normal', then I installed Leopard and it got slower -- which is what I'd heard rumours of in a few places (though mostly talking about earlier builds of Leopard). Not glacially slower. But definitely less snappy. I even re-installed with the 'combo' update to see if that would make a difference. None.
Logic runs about the same as it used to. But I'm guessing the increase in hard drive activity may have to do with a different approach/strategy to journaling in Leopard.
Who knows? If anyone has any trouble shooting tips, I'd be glad to hear'em.
