| Tiger to Snow - What a Difference !!!
I just wanted to share. For anyone still using Tiger and Logic 8. Switch ... NOW !!!! I don't know if this difference is in 10.5, since I went straight from 10.4 to 10.6, but anyhow ... All of my plugins work, no problems there, but the thing that I'm tripping out about is the efficiency. I was maxing out my processors on just about every track. it would stop several times through a single playback just due to cpu spikes. Now not only is it all gone, but holy shit !!! What used to be 3/4 to full cpu load is at less than 1/4. I just can not believe how much juice I have just after switching from 10.4 to 10.6. Does anyone else have a similar ( or oposite) experience to share, please post.
Oh yeah, I have an early Intel Mac Pro with dual 2.66 ( not quad :-() chips) just for extra info.
... man am I stoked !!
