Whats up everyone,

While trying to mix a new track down, I found myself having some volume autmation going on a couple of tracks. I was wondering if I could just simply use logics gain utility plugin to lower or increase the volume of the track without having to shift+drag all of the autmation data. Would this degrade the signal in any way or alter it in any negative way ? If so, would just sending the specified track to a new bus and controlling the volume there be a better option ?

My second question is, if this could be applied to the Master output as well ? I was wondering if for say my output were to be clipping, could I just slam the Gain plugin on there to avoid having to modify all of my tracks faders manually ?
