How did you made that curved celling pannels?
Which wood did you use, and how did you bring it into shape without cracking it?
I will fly to mexico at monday to visit a client.
too bad that i have no time to have a stop in mexico city. I have just 3 hours on the airport to chance my airplane to guadalajara.
But i`m shure your room sounds great.
What did you for absorption on the backwall of the control room?
i can`t see any treatment on the photos...
cheers

thanx mate, it'd be a pleasure to have u visiting the studio, anytime man, more than welcome
the back wall of the CR has a tuned bass trap/absorber in the left corner, and it will have a 1.55 x 1.20m wall diffuser, and on the top of that, within the ceiling in that "lower ceiling area" is a none tuned bass trap/absorber all over that part of the ceiling, and below the diffuser will be placed another bass trap/absorber, so, I don't think or hope it won't need anymore absorption, right now without the diffuser sounds pretty good already, I can't wait to put the diffuser and hear the difference
Live Room clouds, that is a great question that I'll try to answer, we used MDF (I hope it means the same for you than for me), a thin layer so ti can be bent, about .6mm thick, Hugo broke a few in the process, but it can be bent, and then, he used a thiner layer of some Chilean (I mean Chile the country) wood, so thin but with a nice wood pattern to cover the mdf which has no look at all, I think I've posted pics when we placed the clouds and you can see them from the inside
please take a look a few posts earlier... I hope it helps
the studio is not finished yet so I haven done any recordings so far, I'm craping my pants hoping everything will be great
thanx and enjoy your trip to Guadalajara, girls are amazing over there
have a "torta ahogada" but be very aware of the hot sauce, ask for a non spicy/hot one... yummy yummy
