It rained Monday, so no progress that day. On Tuesday the masons made some progress on the outer wythe of the control room wall (taking it up to the eighth course);
The framing team also installed a stud around the outside of the Music Room to which the upper soffit will attach:
On Wednesday the masons followed up with a couple of courses on the inner control room wall:
And the framing team started cutting slots for the roof rafters:
The contractor is already talking about starting to frame the booth roof (while the HVAC people install the air handlers and duct work). But I'll believe it when I see it...our HVAC team is having a difficult time getting all the pieces into place in order to start their mad dash (and we cannot afford to keep the roof off the ceiling for very much longer).
