the vocal idea is nice, but the result does not work.
needs less room or better room, more hipass filter or diferent eq, more blending, more autotune, melodyne and vocalign.
the lead melody from 1:48 also needs more blending, i think needs more compression or something.
the idea is great, try usign diferent plugins for EQ, sounds like it needs a more pro sound.
catchy song, needs more work in the mixing & mastering area, maybe also recording again the vocals with diferent equipment, and you have a Hit there.
the UUUUUWWWWUUU sounds similar to some song i love but cant remember...
