just in response to the idea of dp4 reason 3.0 and a G4...I don't know about the other questions....

I just put Reason 3.0 on my ibook G4 933 with 640 in RAM and geesh, it is a RAM hogger. But then again so is DP4 in comparison to other DAWs. I had trouble tracking in Reason to DP4 using Rewire. Make sure you have enough computer power to run all these programs.
