I think the Lang makes that chain shine... The Lang is a great EQ, the rest is lackluster in comparison.

The 414 XLS was horrible for me on male rap vocals.
Don't short sell the Robbie. In my experience I generally prefer it to the Chandler 1073. c414s are nothing to shrug about either.

The Lang manual has some interesting stuff in it. First, the reason it's so transparent is because of it has a super long slope on it's shelves. Second, when you use the low controls they both function in shelf mode, but when both used together the boost functions as if it's in peak mode - rather than forming a Z-Shelf. Also, top secret trim control that requires a flat head screw driver....
