This is pretty important, especially if he (or she) is good!
Sounds a bit odd to me, as if the mix guy really IS any good, he'd see it in a way of "if the recording is so bad I can't make it sound good, I won't touch it and if I DO touch it, from there on the responsibility of it sounding good is mine".........so if you say it sounds like shit, you're still saying HE's incompetent......lol. Just a thought.
